Marvin Priest, is a British-Jamaican artist ,singer-songwriter born in London, England and is the son of reggae singer Maxi Priest.

Marvin has covered many genres of music including reggae & pop music & started his career in 2008 performing with his father around the world. He found his first break signing to Island/Universal records & in 2011 released his debut pop studio album, Beats & Blips, in Australia, which spawned the top ten single “Own This Club” 3 x platinum on the ARIA Singles Chart, as well as top one-hundred singles “Take Me Away” 1 x gold and “Feel the Love”. “Own This Club” was also a top ten hit in New Zealand & at the APRA Music Awards of 2012 own this club , won an award for Urban Work of the Year and was nominated for Most Played Australian Work.

Priest also signed to universal music publishing & has since written many songs & toured & featured with various artists inc Ub40, Shaggy, House of Shem, Maxi Priest, Ronan Keaton and many more. Before his own song releases co wrote many songs including, “Full Hundred” on his father’s album 2 the Max and featured on “Childhood”, a track from Maxi’s album, Refused . Priest appeared on UB40’s album, TwentyFourSeven, singing & co-writing “Slow Down” and featuring and a remix of “I Shot the Sheriff”.Priest performed a duet with Ronan Keating for the latter’s album, Duet, where they covered Cat Stevens’ 1970 single “Wild World” .

Marvin has since created his own label “Ragga Records” with his business partner Rik – Ragga, which has released 2 projects “warning” and “searching for paradise “ and just released marvin’s latest 2 singles “i tried” (April 2020) and “require” (July 2020) from his up and coming ep “loves free” .
Rik e & marvin have toured Australia & New Zealand with bands such as The Wailers , Arrested Development ,maxi, Sean paul, House of Shem & They are currently working with a new band called “crown heights music” with their album due end of 2020.
